All One

The overhead sun alignment in 2013 was on May 26 at 12:28 PM Hawaiian Aleutian Standard Time.

Notice how the overhead shadow from the sculpture aligns perfectly with the "cookie cutter" shape underneath the piece. Twice a year this happens, on either side of summer solstice.

On May 26 at 12:28 and on July 15 at 12:37 the sun, at its zenith, shines directly overhead. Hawaiians call this solar event La Haina noon.
